Your camera grips steel. A lot of vehicles are not steel - caravans, GRP panel vans, aluminium trailers, plastic bumpers, horseboxes. This plate is stuck to the panel with the supplied adhesive pad (screws are in the box for a permanent fix) and gives the camera's magnetic base a steel surface to hold onto.

Questions people ask first

Will it fit my vehicle? If the surface is metal you do not need this. If it is fibreglass, GRP, aluminium, plastic or wood, you do.

Will the adhesive hold on a caravan panel? It is the supplied super-stick pad on a clean, flat, non-porous panel; the screws are in the box if you want a permanent mechanical fix.

Can I move the plate later? Yes, but the adhesive pad is single-use - fit it where the camera will live.

Do I need one plate per vehicle? That is the point of it. One camera, several plates.
